Appointments & booking
You can book online through our booking page, or message us on WhatsApp. Choose your test, share your details and pick a time that suits you — we’ll confirm your appointment shortly after.
We offer convenient, private appointments in the Barnsley area. Once you book, we’ll confirm the exact location and time with you directly.
No referral is needed. Our service is private and available directly to you. However, all results should be reviewed and interpreted by your prescribing clinician or healthcare professional.
Preparing for your test
Some tests require fasting (typically 8–12 hours) for accurate results, while others do not. We’ll let you know exactly how to prepare when we confirm your appointment.
Certain hormone tests are best taken at a specific time of day or point in your cycle. We’ll advise on the optimal timing for your chosen panel when you book.
Results
Most results are ready within 24–48 hours. Specialist panels, such as our Allergy Complete test, may take a little longer (typically 5–7 days).
You’ll be notified as soon as your results are ready and can access them securely through our online results portal, where you can view and download your report.
Barnsley Bloodworks provides blood sample collection and laboratory testing only. We do not diagnose medical conditions or advise on medication. Your results should be reviewed and interpreted by your prescribing clinician.
